J. Kyle Gaines is a partner based in BEHB's Los Angeles office who is adept at handling every phase of litigation. He defends clients against catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, product defect, workers' compensation, and contribution and indemnity claims; and he manages a wide variety of first-party and third-party claims for a leading rideshare company. He also has particular expertise in helping small business owners to confront and overcome all legal issues they encounter, including environmental and toxic tort matters. During his career, Kyle has taken hundreds of depositions from plaintiffs, defendants, expert witnesses, and other relevant parties.

Kyle obtained his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2012 where he earned a Jefferson Fellow Academic Scholarship; was consistently named to the honor roll; and was a quarterfinalist in the TYLA regional mock trial competition. As a law student he earned a coveted internship in the San Diego County District Attorney's Office. He gained additional legal experience as a clerk with two leading California law firms. Kyle also holds a degree in political science from UC Santa Barbara. As an undergraduate, Kyle studied abroad in China and volunteered as a teacher to underprivileged children.
