Toxic Tort / Environmental Law

Bassi Edlin Huie & Blum LLP has represented clients in nearly every aspect of toxic tort and environmental litigation. Our firm has defended and prosecuted toxic tort actions, environmental cost recovery and Superfund matters, negotiated permits and licenses, and counseled clients in a broad spectrum of environmental matters. We have significant experience with CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, FIFRA, TSCA and companion state and local laws, including CEQA, Land Use and Permitting, California Coastal Act matters, Zoning, and Local General Plans.

Our firm understands that toxic tort and environmental matters require significant participation by medical doctors, toxicologists, geologists, scientists, engineers and others. Constant interaction with these specialists allows our staff to be conversant with current regulatory, medical, scientific, and technical developments in the environmental field.

BEHB senior partners have handled Superfund cost recovery litigation; administrative, civil and criminal water pollution matters including pre-treatment issues; administrative, civil, and criminal pesticide issues; underground storage tank remediation concerns; environmental impact reports; and environmental aspects of the purchase and sale of real property.

Two BEHB lawyers, Fred Blum & Noel Edlin, have been voted by their peers as Northern California 2007 Super Lawyers in Environmental Law.
