Joseph J. Kubancik
Joseph J. Kubancik is senior counsel and has been defending corporate clients sued in asbestos litigation in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 32 years. He has taken over 20 asbestos cases to jury verdict, including a trial with a grouping of plaintiffs that lasted over nine months. Juries returned defense verdicts in two living mesothelioma cases, and a third was settled after the trial court granted a new trial on the issue of percentage of fault with damages set at $525,000.
In addition to his specialty in asbestos litigation, Joe has had an insurance defense practice ranging from automobile accident cases to complex products liability claims, including legal and medical malpractice actions. Joe also has experience defending “lemon law” cases for corporate clients such as General Motors. He has taken over 20 cases to jury verdict in these cases.
To gain a better perspective of personal injury litigation, Joe has represented plaintiffs in a wide range of actions in which a few have gone to jury verdict.
